Direct quote just received from member of wait staff: "Yes they do, not pizza but this really good chickpea crepe and a bunch of other stuff".
Super thin crust pizza, delicious crust, just the right amount of toppings. Super delicious everything-- olive appetizer, salad, and soup were fresh and perfectly done.Unbelievable dessert as well-- chocolate budino was amazing layers of chocolate and salted caramel puddings with cookie bottom and whipped cream topping.
MoreI loved the crust on their pizza. Thin crust that doesn't taste like cardboard! Very attentive server. Also, the open kitchen is great... I like watching the staff prepare the food. They appeared to be very efficient and fast, even on a very busy Friday night.
MoreAbsolutely the best pizza around chapel Hill! My favorite is the salami with spicy honey drizzle (pictured). The salads are also amazing. Definitely not the cheapest place BUT it is worth every penny. So if you get the chance to treat yourself , Pizzeria Mercato is the place to go.
MoreThe full size wings were not quite crispy and the sauce tasted like it was trying to be to many flavors. Pizza was similar to Pizzeria Toro (“elevated†brick oven pizza) in Durham but prices were slightly lower. The acoustics don’t really lend to a quiet conversation. But a great spot for a large group to meet up.
MoreBest crust ever! Delicious Roasted Brussel Sprouts. Great place to eat. We visited every time I'm in town. Must have the Field Greens, Brussel Sprouts, Margherita Pizza.
MoreThis is what a restaurant should be. Very friendly wait staff, good pizza, and awesome aesthetic. The pizza bar lets you see the chefs while you eat, which is great. Prices are a bit high, but it is most certainly well worth it.
MoreThe special - grilled sweet corn pizza crust, thin and crispy, with just a bit of hot oven char on the bottom, was excellent. Service was prompt and informative. I had a wonderful experience and satisfying dinner.
MoreDon’t let the “pizzeria†fool you. This place has lots of amazing Italian centric courses to choose from. Fresh quality ingredients and a great staff bring the open air space to life. A must - stop place for REaL Italian food!
MoreEven though it's a pizzeria, the pizza is not why it is among my favorite restaurants in the triangle area. Mercato has a staple of items that are always available but the toppings or ingredients involved depend on the season. The crostini has been a home run every single time. There is usually a single pasta dish on the menu and I highly recommend whatever it is. And save room for desert!
MoreHigh quality, unique flavors in a fun atmosphere. The open floor plan makes the place a little loud, but overall everything is delicious and wonderful. The carbonara pizza with the fried egg on it is delicious, and the meatball appetizer is a must every time. We will definitely be back!
